Embroidery is to increase the beauty of the fabric. It is used as surface enrichment on the fabric or finished garment. They can be done by using different types of Embroidery threads.
This patch work was designed for Mrs. Jeyasudha. Stitches mainly used are long French knot, chamki, zardosi, satin work and chain stitch.
French knots are the decorative stitches. It is used for filling flower centres,leaves, eyes,plants etc .,
Satin stitch can be used to fill areas in a design with solid colour or softly shaded colour using long stitches.
Embrossed zardosi work on leaf is used to give bone effect at the centre of the design.
